Crítica: Deathtale – Whole World Burns
(2016)

In 2008, the ex-drummer of DEMOLITION,
Tom Kräutner together with the bass Phil Späth form the project
DEATHTALE. In 2012, they released their debut album called
“Apocalyptic Deadline”.
There were
some problems in the record of the album in the studio Hinterhof
of Viena. After the substitution of the vocalist by health
reasons, and the abandonment of their second guitarist,
DEATHTALE showed their professionalism to accomplish the
calendar that was written during the last summer.
DEATHTALE achieves to release their
second LP “Whole World Burns” the 12th February 2016, on the
label TERRASOUND RECORDS after 4 years, with Patrick Pieler (new
vocalist) and Adrian Rezzaie (guitarist). This new work goes far
away than conventional forms, trash metal with influences of
Death. It sounds more melodic than their first album, what
leaves a technical and sophistically sound without lose the
fidelity to the sound and origins of the band.
The work of Patrick Pieler with the
vocals is perfect; he treats to integrate his register with an
excellent form giving new nuances with the guttural voices, with
the starter shout in “Before Blood Flows”, and some registers in
“Whole World Burns”, until arrives to clean voices in some
landscapes of the track.
Adrian Rezaie does a great and
imposing work with the guitars, overwhelming riffs from the
start of “The Fallen”. Others that stay recorded in your mind
and are repeated as usual: “From Hell”, “Death Machine” and the
game of silences and the riff of “Phoenix Theory”
There is a
pair of tracks that don’t achieve to keep the intensity of the
listener. I consider it a great work for the intention to risk
in their limits. You can find the track “Before Blood Flows” as
the most progressive with constant harmonic changes. A great
show of speed and relentless fury in the track “Warpath”, the
constant evolution of intensity in “Into The Abyss” and the
mixture of the geniality that precedes to a guitar solo show the
quality of the band. The final track “Silent Eulogy” is a great
minimal outro for my taste. The deluxe version has a bonus
track, “From Hell”, singed integrally in German.
